Symantec Announces Layoffs; 5% Cut Expected

Symantec (SYMC: 11.40 -5.24%) is the latest Silicon Valley company to announce layoffs. The Cupertino based software company missed its 3rd quarter earnings and revenue numbers, set the expectation for lower numbers going forward, and announced its intention to scale back headcount expenses by 4.5%.

Snell & Co. has acquired a +/- 90,000 square feet office building from Symantec, The three-story building is located at the corner of Torre Avenue and Rodrigues Ave in Cupertino. The building was delivered vacant.
