Circuit City To Liquidate Remaining Stores

Tweet Circuit City announced today that it has reached an agreement for the liquidation of its remaining 567 US stores. After failed attempts to line up refinancing or a buyout, Circuit City elected the right the bankruptcy court had given it to liquidate. The company is based in Richmond, VA, and employs some 30,000 people.
