Cupertino Square Bankruptcy

April 6, 2009

We’ve heard there was a court event on March 31 involving Cupertino Square LLC, but we’re not sure what the status of the bankruptcy is. It’s been almost half a year since the mall declared bankruptcy to halt the foreclosure process, and since then things haven’t gotten much better for the troubled shopping mall.

If anybody has any info, drop me a line or comment below.

well it was on March 31, in Northern California district. I believe the Judge presiding over this case was Morgan. I don’t think anything groundbreaking happened, just the parties jockeying for rights, etc. If I hear anything else, I’ll post.

I’d say it’s not looking too good for Vallco. I noticed that the HausBrau that was advertised for over a year, opened and then closed in less than a month. In fact, down the by theaters, there’s still banners hanging announcing it’s presence in the food court with a “Now Open” on them.
