CNBC Classic: The Call For A 21st Century Tea Party

February 19, 2009

I’ve mentioned before the dislike I have for CNBC, but I was just sent a clip from earlier today on CNBC that is worth watching. Rick Santelli, who some of you may know as the guy who reports from the trading floor, lost it and went on a mini-tirade about the way the government is handling the mortgage crisis.

It might be a little sensationalist, but it is rather indicative of how many people (at least people I know) feel about the whole mortgage mess we’re in. It also goes back to my personal belief that until some level of trust can be re-instilled, things will not start moving in a meaningful way.

The video is below, but in case CNBC takes it down, it can also be found onĀ CNBC’s web site.

It’s about time someone showed some outrage about what’s going on in Washington. Both parties are selling us down the river.

I can understand people’s outrage. But home ownership in US has always been subsidized by the government, i.e. mortgage interest deducibility, which is not common in other countries. And don’t forget those who made a conscientious decision to rent rather than buy, they must be annoyed at rewarding home owners who bet on rising of future of home prices.

and yes, boycott CNBC.

Way to go Rick Santelli! Finally, someone with the backbone to tell it like it is! This entitlement mentality that has taken over the country and Washington has got to stop. Whatever happened to responsibility and working for what you have. Oh, and whatever happened to good old American capitalism? Since when did it become the big evil? When those who couldn’t get what they want from Uncle Sam decided it was time to take it from those who actually earned it!

SANTELLI the Wall Street SHILL !

Rick Santelli is a shill for the Wall Street Brokers and Bankers .

He BLAMES the working Homeowner for the predatory ARM loans ,
that the Wall Street Gang scammed up.

He BLAMES the working stiff for buying the $4 gas and $2 Bread,
caused by the Oil Speculation Scam run by his NY Gang.

BUT he doesn’t hesitate a second to support Bailouts
for his Wall Street Brokers and Bankers buddies ,,,,
demanding The Washington Idiots to Pour more Billions on Wall Street.

Monday he’ll be ranting about the IRS Intrusion into the Swiss Banks,
( where his Wall Street Buddies hid the TARP I money they skimmed ).

But then, NHBA is just as stupid and greedy for Promoting tax credits for New Construction to simply Add More and More inventory to a supersaturated market.

PS: Ask Rick where the $75 to $200 billion FED LOC to the District 1 PD’s went ?
He doesn’t say a word about that fraud.
