Circuit City Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Pinches Local Companies

Circuit City has declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The filing comes on the heels of it announcing a 155-store closure, which includes several San Francisco bay area stores. The filing likely will impact many Silicon Valley companies, incluing Hewlett Packard, Apple Computer, Intel, and a slew of others who sell products to the retailer. According to the Wall Street Journal, HP is owed some $118M by the retailer.
