Thelen Reid & Priest Dissolution Vote Expected; 175,000 Square Feet of Office Space On Deck
October 28, 2008
It’s been rumoured that Thelen Reid & Priest could vote as early as today to dissolve the 80 year old law firm. The law firm is facing a similar fate as Heller Ehrman as it has had many of its partners poached over the past year. Loss of key partners and a slowing practice might force the firm into making the decision to dissolve much like Heller Ehrman.
Locally, the very well known and respected law firm occupies roughly 175,000 square feet of Class A office space.
In San Francscio, Thelen Reid leases approximately 143,000 square feet at Hines’ 101 Second Street building, which represents 37% of the building. That lease is set to run though 2012.
In San Jose, Thelen Reid leases approximately 28,500 square feet at Equity Office’s 225 W Santa Clara Street Building. That deal was signed in July of 2002 and runs through mid 2012. Reel Grobman was the interior architect on the San Jose project.
