Nothing to Write About Could Signal a Retail Slowdown
Trends June 23rd, 2008Retail Traffic Magazine is sent to us monthly. It’s a trade publication which follows retail development, people, financing, and related events. Normally, the issues range from about 150-200 pages, with some over 250.
Going through the stack of publications this month, I came across June’s issue. It was a paltry 48 pages.
Not a scientific method of determining what’s happening in the retail market, but this is the thinnest issue we’ve ever gotten. If this is any sort of indicator, then we’re in the midst of a significant slowdown in retail.
